Guild Wars: Eye of the North: Burning Forest
I’m not sure how far I’m in GW:EN at the moment. A quarter way through perhaps?

The expansion has thus far been relatively easy. The only trouble I have usually is trying to figure out the profession of new foes. I’ve embarrassed myself on several occasions by casting Backfire on what turned out to be a Ranger or a Warrior.

(It’s a good thing Heroes and henchmen don’t have their own blogs. The things they would say about me …)

There is, however, one quest that might get players all hot and bothered. I’ll not give away details but suffice to say the quest objective location features a boss who will undoubtedly cause intense pain (searing even) to an unprepared party.

Deep in GW:EN

September 7 and I have GW:EN.

The package arrived yesterday at the store I ordered it from and the folks there were good enough to scan in the access key and e-mail it to me shortly afterwards. I got the package today but I appreciate the effort the store took to ensure gamers could get down to evil-thwarting as soon as possible.

I picked up where I left off and put in some time into the expansion yesterday.

A dearth of PUGs.
PUGs can be an immense source of aggravation but I doubt I would have learnt much about the game on my own.

Would it be nice to have? Yes. Necessary? No.
