Guild Wars Hard Mode: Guardian of Elona 20/20

Canthan-born, the Mesmer learned the mystic arts in Shing Jea Monastery. With training scarcely complete, he joined his master in the desperate battle against the vengeful spirit of Shiro Tagachi. Much was lost and many a tear shed in those dark days but there were great victories, too. The Mesmer would help bring together bitter enemies and unite them against their common foe. With the aid of celestials gifts conferred by the great dragon Kuunavang, the Mesmer would go on to protect Cantha and be known as that land’s guardian.

Guild Wars Hard Mode: Elona 13/20

Guild Wars Nightfall: End
You’d think the final mission in Guild Wars Nightfall, Abbadon’s Gate, would be the toughest of the campaign. It’s actually deceptively easy.

One indicator of that is the number of runners and the ridiculous amounts of gold they charge for their services. If there are runners, it means there’s an idiot-proof template for beating the mission. If the runners are charging exorbitant sums, it means some players find the mission so difficult they’re desperate enough to pay.

Hence, deceptively easy.

Guild Wars Hard Mode: Gate of Pain

It once again took me hours to nail a Hard Mode mission in Guild Wars Nightfall. Jennur’s Horde was the previous time-consuming, pain-inducing mission; this time it was, appropriately enough, the Gate of Pain.

Gate of Pain is certainly doable in Hard Mode even with Heroes and henchmen but there will be a lot of gnashing of teeth and snarling. I certainly found it frustrating when I tackled it earlier today. I was seeing way too much of this:
