Like the old joke goes, this is so old school that school was spelt with “ch” instead of a “k” back then.
This minibot from 1985 is a poor toy by today’s action figure standards but the show character was one of my favourites. An ebullient aviator only slightly less egotistical than Sky Lynx, Powerglide was one of those entertaining minor characters that stood out.
I’m still waiting for Hasbro to give him the “Classics” treatment.
Hasbro explained at BotCon 2006 that Transformers Classics Legends Fireflight was originally intended to be Powerglide but they couldn’t get trademark. I don’t understand why the company didn’t simply rename him “Autobot Powerglide.”
